Our Mission
Getting Kurdish Genocides committed by Baath party and ISIS in Iraq recognized globaly.
Global recognition of Kurdish genocide is essential for honoring the memory of victims, achieving justice, preventing future atrocities, preserving historical truth, promoting reconciliation, upholding human rights, and supporting the aspirations of the Kurdish people for dignity, equality, and peace
Our objectives encompass several key areas:
- Recognition of Kurdish Genocide and Historical Injustices: We advocate for the recognition of historical Genocides and injustices, including genocidal acts and other atrocities committed against the Kurdish people by the former Iraqi Baath party and most recently ISIS. Including but not limited to Genocides such as the Fayli Genocide, Barzani Genocide, the Anfal, Chemical attacks on Halabja and other systematic campaignes aimed to eradicating Kurdish identity and were committed with intent to eliminate Kurds. This entails raising awareness, lobbying governments and international organizations for recognition, and seeking justice for victims and their descendants.
- Ending Discrimination and Marginalization: We work to combat discrimination, marginalization, and human rights abuses faced by Kurds in their respective countries. This includes advocating for equal rights, access to education, employment opportunities, healthcare, and political representation for Kurdish communities.
- Advocacy for Kurdish Self-Determination: We support the right of the Kurdish people to self-determination, including the pursuit of autonomy or independence within existing states or through the establishment of a Kurdish state where feasible and desired by the Kurdish population.
- Recognition of Kurdish Identity and Rights: We strive to promote the recognition of the Kurdish people as a distinct ethnic group with their own language, culture, and history. This includes advocating for the protection and promotion of Kurdish identity, language rights, and cultural heritage.
- Promotion of Peace and Conflict Resolution: We support peaceful dialogue, negotiation, and conflict resolution efforts to address longstanding conflicts involving Kurdish communities. This includes advocating for political solutions, reconciliation, and the protection of civilian populations in conflict-affected areas.
- International Solidarity and Collaboration: We collaborate with other advocacy groups, human rights organizations, and affected communities to build solidarity and support for the Kurdish cause. This involves joint campaigns, initiatives, and advocacy efforts aimed at mobilizing broader support for Kurdish rights and aspirations.
- Empowerment and Capacity Building: We work to empower Kurdish communities by providing resources, education, and support to strengthen their capacity for self-representation, advocacy, and community development.
- Promotion of Democratic Values and Human Rights: We advocate for the promotion of democratic values, human rights, and the rule of law in regions where Kurdish communities reside. This includes supporting efforts to strengthen democratic institutions, promote civil liberties, and combat authoritarianism and oppression.
In pursuing these objectives, the Kurdish Genocide Lobby Center strives to ensure that the voices of Kurdish genocide victims are heard, their suffering acknowledged, and their quest for justice and remembrance upheld on the global stage.
